Events & Activities
Throughout the school year, we organize events that strengthen our community and celebrate Dutch culture.
Parents receive a complete calendar with all planned events and activities at the start of each school year.
Annual events
Sinterklaas Celebration
December
Traditional Dutch festival with pepernoten, songs, and of course the good saint himself.
King's Day
April
Orange festivities with flea market, games, and Dutch gezelligheid.
Book Week
March
Celebration of Dutch literature with guest authors and reading activities.
School Trip
June
Annual outings to museums, nature, or cultural destinations.
Talent Show
May
Students showcase their musical, theatrical, and artistic talents.
Dutch Culture Day
Spring
A day full of Dutch traditions, food, and cultural workshops.
Sports activities
Students can participate in various sports events, both within the school and in collaboration with other international sections:
- Annual sports day
- Cross-country race
- Football and basketball tournaments between sections
- Swimming competitions
Cultural exchanges
The Dutch Section regularly organizes exchanges with schools in the Netherlands and Belgium. This gives students the opportunity to strengthen their Dutch roots and make friendships across borders.
Parent participation
Many of our events are co-organized by the parent association APLI-NL. Parents are welcome to help with the organization and execution of activities.
